Modern web browsers include a wide variety of developer tools, for inspecting elements on a web page, displaying source codes and performing other advanced operations, but they don't provide a web developer with everything it needs. PageSpy comes with an abundance of useful features, for developers, designers and testers. It displays everything you need to know about a loaded web page, on Internet Explorer, and it allows you to perform various actions. The software can be used to write and debug web pages and it can help you understand their structures.

PageSpy's installation file is only 1.69 MB and the setup procedure is fast and easy. It works on Windows 2000, XP, Vista, Win 7 and the 2003 Server edition. The software's demo version is not time-limited. Although some of its options are locked, you can use its core functions without any restrictions.

When launched, PageSpy will detect all your Internet Explorer instances. Accessed web pages are listed on a small window and you must select one and click a button, to load its source code and many other details, on the main user interface. The retrieved information is displayed on several tabs. You can view the page's DHTML and source code, analyze cookies, objects and resources and much more.

Certain details can be retrieved manually. For example, you can ping the loaded website, perform whois and tracert lookups and more. All you have to do is click a Go button, located next to the action you wish to execute, on the Info tab. Besides displaying information, the software allows you to execute various actions as well. You can test regular expressions, run individual scripts, from the loaded web page, or open external images, flash files and other items.

Pros

PageSpy provides numerous tools for analyzing and debugging web pages. It allows you to test regular expressions, run scripts and much more. It can be installed in a matter of seconds and it does not ask for powerful hardware or additional tools.

Cons

The program works only with Internet Explorer. PageSpy places everything you need at your disposal, to write, analyze and debug web pages, without too much effort.
